CDP and TONG present
Klokwerk tells the story of two neighbours on a magical street of clocks. Ms Tick is a clockmaker, living an ordered but lonely life, longing for a friend. When her new neighbour Greenfinger arrives, bringing magic, plants and the chaos of nature, Ms Tick is not pleased. And when her quest to build a robot friend goes awry, it’s a very big day on the Street of Magical Clocks!
This modern fairy tale for children 4+ and their families, jointly created by an Australian/Chinese team, uses dance, movement, music and shadow to tell a story of friendship, conflict, difference, loss and love.
Klokwerk 神奇钟表街 premiered at the Dahua City Performing Arts Centre, Beijing in December 2024
This project has been supported by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its arts funding and advisory body, and through the National Foundation for Australia China Relations.
